Green Recovery Tech. “The relation between decarbonisation and CO2 reduction”
We are halfway through 2023, and energy consumption seems to be increasing. According to a report on energy consumption released by the IEA, it is predicted that 2023 will be higher than ever before. The increase in CO2 emissions will increase, and will be added to the emissions that have been postponed for some time. Currently, CCS is expected as a methodology to reduce CO2. However, it feels like people are beginning to whisper that CCS itself may not be a versatile method. Until now, CCS has been implemented with a large amount of support from the whole country.
When CCS was said to be a promising star, everyone should have closed the risk. It seems extremely disrespectful to now start questioning the risks that will be exposed 10 years from now. I think no technology is without risk. Rather than arguing against the exposure of risks, the scenario and practice of how to avoid the risks should be an important factor. I think that will contribute to the reduction of CO2.
