Green Recovery Tec “CO2 reduction technology indispensable for suppressing global warming.”
Current CO2 reduction technology
CO2 reduction, which is indispensable for suppressing global warming, can be classified into two methods: chemical absorption method and the physical adsorption method.
If I take natural gas as an example; the chemical absorption method is a technology that separates and recovers high-purity CO2. It involves mixing an amine solution and natural gas in a reactor called an absorption tower, absorbing CO2 contained in the natural gas into the amine solution, and then heat up in a reactor called a regeneration tower.
On the other hand, the physical adsorption method is that makes CO2 adsorbed on an adsorbent by the weak force(*) which acts between the molecules of the natural gas and the surface of the adsorbent then reduce the pressure and separates and collect the high-purified CO2.
(*) the physical factor called van der walls force.
Considering the energy consumption to complete collecting CO2 by either method described above, the chemical absorption method is high energy consumption and although the physical adsorption method consumes less, both consuming new energies.
Technology that directly eliminates CO2
Both the chemical absorption method and the physical adsorption method are technologies that reduce CO2. However, since they are absorbing or adsorbing CO2 but do not eliminate CO2, either you achieved CO2 reduction or not is about how you do process after absorption and adsorption.
Currently, They actively use a method called CCS, which backfill the collected CO2 into the ground.
Under these circumstances, we have developed the technology that could directly separate and eliminates CO2 instead of separating and recovering it after absorbs/adsorbs CO2.
The feature of this technology is that new material we invented and CO2 are mixed at room temperature to eliminate CO2. And, This process of eliminating CO2 does not require an additional energy source, so there is no new CO2 emission too.
