Green Recovery Tech. “EU taxonomy and decarbonisation guidepost”
Humankind and the economy are set to be inseparable
It can be said that the flow of human creation and the flow of economic activities that support it form a two-tiered flow. Since the birth of humankind on this earth, technological progress has been made, making the environment as comfortable as possible for humanity. We can say that these advances have made the economy even bigger. In a sense, it may be more appropriate to say that as humanity and the economy are set to be inseparable, the wastes accumulated in the growth process have exceeded the earth’s capacity because it has grown too large. In particular, the increase in carbon dioxide is a prime example of this.
Humans are complex in one sense, yet simple in another. The reason for saying this is, if you refer to carbon dioxide, for example, we are having an idea like everything will be solved if you capture it and backfill it in the ground, even it has increased. If humankind and the economy are set to be inseparable, it should be profitable to be inseparable from the economy. Temporarily, even if profitability is neglected, it may be possible to revitalize a good economy if we can overcome it. However, increasing amounts of carbon dioxide will be emitted as long as humankind continues to live. Therefore, I shall say that it is in our best interest to live with carbon dioxide for as long as we can.
EU taxonomy and decarbonisation guidepost
To keep nestling with carbon dioxide, we need something always supporting us. In that sense, the “EU taxonomy” created by the EU Environmental Commission as part of decarbonisation can be a good example. The reason is that for a company to receive official recognition, such as an “EU Green Bond”, or to receive public support related to sustainable finance, its use of funds must meet EU taxonomy criteria. I recommend taking a look and checking it.
